The challenge
One of the Middle East's largest construction companies needed to overcome language, cultural and literacy barriers to ensure their people stood up and took notice of the importance of safety in the workplace. They approached Engage with a view to changing perceptions and behaviours in the organisation, in search of an effective way to convince employees to apply extra effort and attention.
The solution
We explored new ways to actively engage employees on safety matters, developing a safety campaign founded on creativity, conversation and high-level interaction. Via real life scenarios, interpersonal drama training was used to positively impact attitudes, skills and behaviours. This was extremely effective at crossing cultural and language barriers. Using a simple and memorable slogan - Be aware, take care - we were able to consolidate the key message and ensure that it remained top of mind.
